Next Shoot Is August 21st
We hope to be shooting outside. Bring your shotguns!
July Shoot: It was hot. 24 folks showed up to shoot and a few stayed afterwards for the picnic. Did I mention it was hot? Flaming Star won the match and was the only clean shooter this month. Wagontrain Willie won working class and Palomino made her debut with a respectable showing in working class. Thanks to Deadeye Farmboy, Missouri Sunshine, Athena Jake Elder, Calico Cat, Deadlight Lou, Wagontrain Willie, Lefty Dalton, and Sheriff Boo Boo for help with setup this month. Thanks to the whole crew with help with tear down. Thanks to Red Garvin and Sheriff Boo Boo for the new roof on the store.
Stagetrail Long Range Rifle Shoot: Winner this year were: Redneck Woman: Both single shot and lever action smokeless divisions. Deadeye Farmboy: Men's smokeless, single shot division. Max Muletrain: Men's black powder single shot division. Middlefork Bob: Men's smokeless, lever action division. Middlefork shot a perfect 20 out of 20.
Stagetrail Pistol Caliber Rifle Shoot: This is scheduled for Saturday, July 24th. Course of fire will be 10 shots at 50 yards at a standard bucket target off-hand (standing unsupported), 10 shots at a bucket target at 75 yards seated, 10 shots at a bucket target at 100 yards off cross sticks, and 5 shots at a whiskey bottle at 100 yards off cross sticks. We use the regular rifles from our cowboy matches. We have cross sticks for you to use. It's a lot of fun to try to hit the targets at these ranges.
We have the CDs from the Stagetrail shoot in. They are $3 each. We also have 2010 calendars from the Stagetrail for $18. You can get a calendar and CD for $20. Contact Burns the Highlander if you want some. The following CD and Calendars need to be picked up: Cherokee Clyde
Badges: If you would like to order a badge, let Marshal RD know. They have been running less that $60.
New Classes Added to Peacemaker Shoots: Traditional and Modern classes have been replaced. SASS is no longer differentiating between fixed and adjustable sights for these classes. Cowboy is under 36 years old. Wrangler is 36 or older. Any SASS legal firearm is allowed. Wild Bunch: Wild Bunch is a 1911 with two magazines loaded with 5 rounds each in place of the pistols. The regular pistol caliber cowboy rifle and shotgun are allowed. You will shoot the same course of fire as the regular match.
